Fashionistas, I’m especially excited this morning because I get the opportunity to share one of my favorite looks as of late.
Why is it one of my favorite looks? It combines almost all of my favorite types of attire into one cohesive look.
Sometimes it’s difficult to mesh styles and pieces together. At first glance, these components don’t typically go together. But when done effectively, the look is extremely stylin.’ And that’s how I’m feeling today!

For this look, I’m layering and juxtaposing my favorite vintage earrings and leather pencil skirt with contemporary pieces. These include an Adidas shirt, faux leather jacket from H&M, and sunnies.
Each piece of my look is made of a different texture or era. But the thread that weaves everything together is the color black.

I know I wear black often, but today’s look is a true example of why I love it so much. With the right items, you can create an interesting and complex all-black look without too much effort. The key is texture mixing. Leather on cotton and matte black… it all works together!

My favorite item in my whole outfit, to be honest, is this cotton Adidas graphic tee. When I first got it, I wasn’t sure how I’d style it. It was a tad big on me and I’m not really a fan of tee shirts in general. However, when I paired it with this skirt at the last second (I had no other options), it instantly worked. I think what makes this look a winner is because everything is black. The Adidas shirt with the logo added a fun pop of color to the entire monochromatic ensemble.
